Best in Franchise History

Postby Poobah » Sat May 29, 2004 7:07 pm

Pro Football Weekly recently sifted through the annals of NFL history to develop a list of 5 candidates deemed "the best in the history of the franchise". Apparently you can vote on profootballweekly.com for the player you think is the best of the best. They will do one team a week between June 6 and Jan 15, starting with Arizona and finishing with Washington. The Bengals candidates are:

QB Ken Anderson
QB Boomer Esiason
RB Corey Dillon
OT Anthony Munoz
CB Ken Riley

I used to hate Ken Anderson but would have to vote for him here.

Ken Anderson for sure! Dillon doesn't even deserved to be mentioned next to him.

Munoz.

I considered Dillon too - mostly due to his U-Dubb days and all of those years he played all-out for the Bengals when there was seemingly nothing to play for - also for sticking around when he had the opportunity to bail. Too bad he turned into such a dick the last couple of years...

Munoz is one of the best offensive linemen ever. Can't say that about Esiason, Anderson, or Dillon. Riley, I dunno enough about.
