Thats my thought too, I know Ill get grilled for this but Joe Namath was hugely overrated becasue he played for New York...

So I will go with CMART

I saw this list and cringed at the thought of people voting for Namath. I really believe if it weren't for "the guarantee" he wouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. More interceptions than touchdowns is pretty bad when you really think about it. I mean, by that rationale Dave Krieg should be in the Hall of Fame, even with all of those fumbles. Compare the stats...

Dave Krieg 3,105-5,311 58.5% 38,147 261 TD 199 INT
Joe Namath 1,886-3,762 50.1% 27,633 173 TD 220 INT

I'm sorry, but that's just pathetic. Namath barely completed half of his passes and he's in the Hall of Fame? He threw 47 more interceptions than touchdowns and he's in the Hall of Fame? You have to be kidding me. Namath threw more touchdowns than interceptions just twice during his entire 13-year career. That truly is astounding for a man who's bust lives in Canton forever.

My vote goes to one of my all-time favorite WR's, Don Maynard. His 633 catches for 11,834 yards were both pro records at the time of his retirement. He never was flashy, but he was a solid as they came. A true great.
