Franchise player

Postby BooYa » Tue Dec 31, 2002 9:23 am

My league is starting something new next year by letting us keep 1 player from our roster this season as a franchise player. Here's what I have to choose from:

QB's:
Aaron Brooks
Tommy Maddox

WR's:
Eric Moulds
Jimmy Smith
Troy Brown
Quincy Morgan
Brian Finneran

RB's:
Corey Dillon
Shaun Alexander
Charlie Garner

TEs:
Bubba Franks

Who do you think I should keep? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Alexander............He is the best on to keep but I do not like that rule because whoever has like priest, tomlinoson, owens, williams, auto matically get jump on next season. Just saying that ebcause we did that in one of my leagues and i got screwed. Good Luck

I would also go with Alexander, but I love Morgan.

Alexander has to be the one. RB is a hard fill with quality

Agreed; I'd also keep Alexander, although it's a pretty tough decision (as JayM09 already said). Be sure to keep an eye on offseason news about Dillon as well.

Brooks would be tempting, but especially after his recent struggles, he should be easier to redraft (or even upgrade) than Alexander.

Between Dillon and Alexander, I'd have to go with youth. As long as Dillon stays in Cincy, he won't be worth as much as far as fantasy value goes. So I'd go with Alexander.

Keep Alexander

Postby Lombardi's Lament » Sat Jan 04, 2003 10:56 am

I would keep Alexander as well, depending on your league and the scoring rules. Alexander wasn't the greatest fantasy player this year due to some inconsistencies w/the offense but his potential is awesome. This was his first full year as a starter. mOulds is awesome and I like Morgan as well but there are a lot of wide recivers to choose from.
