Ants mock , but not what you think

Postby proKrastinate » Wed Jun 02, 2004 9:51 pm

I would like to have a mock draft at ants, however, not with either of the scoring systems they have. From the beginning I want everyone to know the scoring system and to draft by it instead. I'm going to create a private draft and will let everyone know the password by email or however you wish to be contacted. Hopefully I can get 10 ppl who just wanna do it for fun but are cool enough to take it seriously and not draft their DEF in the first round. So if you would like, please respond in this thread that you would like to take part and what time limit you think would be good.

10 Team League

2 - RB

I tried to get some people for a dynasty style mock, no one was interested. Seems like there's not much of a call for different mocks. If you get enough folks interested though, I can take a spot.

yea guess we got some boring guys here that don't like to venture out ;) and try different things

thanks johnny, we'll see what happens. I'll return the favor (though I'm probably not a candidate that you'd want with only 1 year FF exp) and join your dynasty mock if you would like to hold one

Did you get it set up yet? I am waiting on my pick in my first AntSports mock. How long do these things take?

I'll join. Let us know what draft number it is, or a link where to go.

I'm only a second year guy. I appreciate the offer, my Dynasty has already started though.

Off topic, my girlfriend met Dennis Erickson the other day. He was at some golf tournament up here in Idaho. She waited on him when they were in the club house. She was wearing a 49ers necklace her brother had given her. Anyway, he offered to send her season tickets. All she has to do is call. If he still remembers when he sobers up & doesn't require "other" payment, I'll have season tickets. No way we're going to San Fran for 10 games. If you decide you want to go a game, I'll hook you up with a dicounted ticket.

Of course this all depends on Erickson's memory.

oh that would be so sweet, but I live in VA, and the closest of games is just too far away to travel :( for me. However, if that first home game against Atlanta was an away game...I'd be giving you a call :). Thanks anyway.

I'm afraid to create the mock yet because I don't know what timer to set it on. I guess i'll just do the default 600 minutes. That gives you 10 hours. The name is Prok Mock and the pass is completions. I've signed up already and anyone that would like to sign up and let the rest of us know in this thread thanks so we know about when the mock is ready to start

Guys, I don't know if you ever started this, but I've got one up and running that is similar, I think, to what you had in mind. Check out the "Challenging Mock" thread on this page.

i think the biggest difference is the compleions for QB's. That is why I wanted to create the mock specifically. I haven't seen a league yet ( yes I know they are out there tho ) that incorporates completions into the scoring system. Nor have I read about anyone asking for help with this type of scoring. I think this really changes the value of some players, and when they are drafted etc. Ive asked about peoples thoughts before and have gotten some replies etc with thoughts to Manning etc in the first or whatever...
