He will probably see 300+ carries, due to the poor recievers and inexperienced QB's. So, even at 3.5 yards a carry, thats 1050 yds rushing right there. He is also a good recieving RB. Last year, he had 20 catches for 170 yds(8.5 ypc). Look for him to double his receptions, at least, because the inexperienced QB's are gonna want to dump it off on the safe pass to the RB.
Having 300-plus carries doesn't mean that he'll automatically be an OK option at RB. Ricky Williams owners from last year can testify to that.
Ricky Williams still had 1700 or 1800 combined yard and 13 or so TDs. Thats good production.
I was just thinking the same thing. Keep in mind Ricky was probably no less than the No. 3 pick overall last year. His numbers weren't great for that pick but would be pretty good for a 2nd round back.
Howeva, if you're figuring on 1,400 yards and 7-8 TD's I would think you pass on Barlow and pick up Bennett who can probably be had a round later and may put up the same numbers.

bennett will see those yards... but not 7-10 TD.. 5-7 maybe...
and I think 7-10 TDs is a bit low... the niners are bound to score... and I think you can lock this guy in for a TD a game (avg) who else is gonna get em?

How about no one? You think Barlow will average a TD a game? Like 3 or 4 backs did that this year, I doubt Barlow will be able to do it next year with his shoddy supporting cast.

i see barlow putting up some good yards, both running and receiving, but when it comes to tds, every team will know who the ball is going to in the red zone. Ideally, he will be shut down, and the majority of his td's will come from long runs or effective screens...but in the end, about 7 tds is all i would expect...but in terms of yardage, he could put up 1700 total yards, especially since he is a decent pass catcher as well.

Barlow is hyped. He hasn't even played a full season and people are taking him in the 2nd round of mocks. Personally, he has to prove to me that he is a legit #2 RB in most leagues.

I think people are taking him in the 2nd round because they are expecting most of the offense to go through him. He's a big, fast, bruising back. With the offense he is in, he will either be a dud or a stud. This is why he is a 2nd round pick but why he is catching so much flack about "the hype". Either you like him or you don't. He's either going to have a Marcel Shipp type year or he's going to have 2,000 all purpose yards and 12+ scores. He's not going to be your "safe" Freddy Taylor 2nd round pick with 1,400 - 1,500 yards and 7 TD's. You are probably going to live or die with the Barlow pick.
