Hey I'd be willing to pick up a team. You can assign me one at random. I think I would get more out of it if I have a team I don't know too well. That way I have to learn about them.
Just a thought. do we want to follow our teams all through the process? For example: Once free agency opens maybe we could have a period of free agent trades amongst ourselves. Almost like a free agent draft. Then reset to match what the teams actually did, and prior to the rookie draft we could have a few rounds of rookie drafts.
free agency has alot to do with the salary cap, i dont think that would be easy to simulate... unless u just mean trading the players and not signing anyone... sounds fun, but maybe a little consusing (its not hard to confuse me)
Doing anything with free agency will be a pain...too much has to go into it with the cap and all, we wouldn't be able to do a good signing....too many contracts have to be redone to make room...we couldn't poss be able to all that...I think just sticking with a 1 or 2 round draft will be good enough...as it is I have to bone up on these college players to see who is who and what they can do
