55 Highest paid RBs; Henry barely made the list...

Postby JrcWy » Wed Jun 16, 2004 3:35 pm

I was reading over the Hines Ward posting about not being paid as a top 5 receiver and looked into some of the other positions. Here is the list of each runningbacks salary last season including bonuses. I highlighted the top 20 rushers from last season as well.

George, Eddie
Lewis, Jamal
Dillon, Corey
Stewart, James
Martin, Curtis
Garner, Charlie
Green, Ahman
Bettis, Jerome
Smith, Emmitt
James, Edgerrin
Barber, Tiki

Taylor, Fred
Dunn, Warrick
Tomlinson, LaDainian
Richardson, Tony
Hearst, Garrison
Williams, Ricky
Alstott, Mike
Staley, Duce
Smith, Antowain
Faulk, Marshall
Davis, Stephen
Zereoue, Amos
Shipp, Marcel
Dayne, Ron
Pittman, Michael
Alexander, Shaun
Williams, Moe
Duckett, TJ
Anderson, Mike
Bennett, Michael
Holmes, Priest
Hodgins, James
Schlesinger, Cory
McAllister, Deuce
Neal, Lorenzo
Anderson, Richie
Beasley, Fred
McGahee, Willis
Henderson, William
Smith, Paul
Morton, Chad
Johnson, Larry
Faulk, Kevin
Mitchell, Brian
Holcombe, Robert
Thomas, Anthony
Foster, DeShaun
Edwards, Marc
Canidate, Trung
White, Jamel
Strong, Mack
Jordan, LaMont
Levens, Dorsey
Bennett, Brandon
Henry, Travis

The list has changed some going into next season but nothing more recent has been published. Clinton Portis will of course be on it now. Interesting things I noticed are that Holmes makes less than his full back; McGahee is making much more than Henry; and the Giant's 3rd string RB(Dayne) made more money than Holmes, Alexander, Henry, and ATrain last year.

Holmgren must REALLY like Maurice Morris for Seattle to take a risk on letting SA go after this season.
