Holmgren must REALLY like Maurice Morris for Seattle to take a risk on letting SA go after this season.

IMO Henry is underrated. Most magazines have excluded him from the top 150 or 20 backs.

Isn't this the case with every job??? The best are always underpaid.

its not that these guys are underpaid....

Contracts are alwayd loaded real heavy in the first year and last year... since most are 3-4 year deals that leaves 1 or 2 years where players cost nothing to the team

for example Joe Horn is earning $780,000 this year... but he got round 4 mill last year and anoter 4-5 coming next year. Alot of these guys could have been in that situation

It seems to me that most contracts are back-loaded with the most money being payed out in the last few years.

they are backloaded so if the player turns out useless, they can cut them or trade them and not take a massive cap hit (at least spread it around)

base salary is always massive at the end... but signing bonuses, etc. at the start.

What, what!

Kerry Carter, RB SEA

News: The Seattle Post-Intelligencer says Kerry Carter could push Maurice Morris for playing time behind Shaun Alexander.

Analysis: Carter or Morris will only be useful if Alexander gets injured at some point.
