I'll give it a go as long as it is a slow draft. 10 or twelve teams is fine with me.

The Pack has a great home schedule this year: Ohio St, Miami and FSU. Too bad they are going to lose to ECU in Charlotte to end the year.

Yeah I'm excited about the football season and I hope to go to most of the games even though life without Rivers will be difficult. As for ECU....hahahahaha, you MUST be talking about baseball :-D

what does everyone think about divisions of 4 teams if we have 12 managers?

then the winner of each division is guranteed a playoff birth and the others go for win percentage etc like NFL

I guess I wouldn't mind doing a slow draft, but I wanna try to keep the time per pick within 6 hours if possible.

I like the idea of 3 divisions. We could have 3 division winners and then a wild card team for the playoffs.

I think we will go with 4th & Long Fantasy League as the name, great idea Johnny ;-D

I think there should be a larger amount of keepers. My idea is to have 4 keepers, and then a 5th would result in losing their 1st round draft pick. Now, tell me how the loss of the draft pick would work. Say it is a 12-team league. Would there just be 11 picks in the first round, or would another team get their pick?

Im down for joining a keeper league at ground level. This will be my first keeper league, but I'm a 5 year yahoo veteran with 4 titles, so I think I could hold my own in a keeper league.

I like the four keepers, though I saw something in one league I liked. They had 1 or 2 rookie keepers, I can't remember which. You had your 3 or 4 regular keepers & then rookie keepers. They were players you drafted that year that were never activated. Basically it gave you the ability to develop a player. I'm not sure how it would work. We could go with 3 keepers & then 1 rookie keeper. The player would be ineligible for rookie keeper if you activated him at all that season. Maybe you wouldn't have to lose a draft pick by keeping 3 vets & 1 rookie. This might be leaning too much toward dynasty style leagues. Let me know what you think.

How does this sound:

You get 3 keepers and 1 rookie keeper, plus one optional pick. For the rookie keeper, He would be inactive for the season, and wouldn't count as a roster spot. It would kinda like being on the DL.

What do you think of that?
