Well, I agree with GP here...these sig files take quite a bit of time to do correctly - if you want them to look really good. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm a perfectionist! It takes me about 2 hours to cut all the pictures out, then another couple of hours to do the backgrounds and text. I like to look at all my options before I submit something. I might be taking too much time, but I have to make sure what I give someone is the best work I could do for them.

If you want to make your own sig, that's fine...but, maybe we should restrict sig requests to people who have been here for a little while and shown some willingness to contribute to the Cafe. I know a lot of you newb's see these files and think it would be cool to have them, but what if you stop coming here? All that time that the artist put in will be wasted.

I'm also not accusing anyone of just wanting a sig just to take it and go somewhere else, but I have heard it happens.

That'd be a good "personal" rule to implement Mercer. I may be speaking too soon, but the sig I did for Algierine was probably a bad decision. If someone's going to spend quality time designing and putting these sigs together, they sure as hell better be given to the right people......but that's the creator's call. I for one will now review a member's past posts and see if he's worthy. It's kinda like earning an icon next to your name.

Im in (or out). I agree that im starting to make too many of these. One never even came back to get it and that was prettty much the end of it.

Plus if people "earn" them it'll give us a little more time to put into each one.

Hey man, im the reason this forum started, and i was just a rookie. This guy has raised his posts up, which means he continues coming back to the site, and i dont know about you Mercer boy, but it takes me under 30 minutes to cut sort and make my logos, and i dont think they are that bad either.. so Ill make this noob a logo, and GP i appreciate your input about giving noobs sigs, and i think this guy is going to stick around. it will be up shortly im starting now
