Cafe rankings by the cafe members!!!

Postby MeShawn » Thu Jun 24, 2004 7:40 am

Here's an interesting way of creating rankings:

We start with who you think is the #1 player in FF. The members of the cafe will post something like this:

#1 - Kurt Warner

The 1st player to recieve 5 votes, is the #1 player in FF. Then people start posting for who they think is the #2 player. I'm up for however many players you guys want to do.

My pick:

#1 - Priest Holmes

--------------------------

#1 - Priest Holmes, RB
#2 - LaDainian Tomlinson, RB
#3 - Ahman Green, RB
#4 - Clinton Portis, RB
#5 - Deuce McCalllister, RB
#6 - Shaun Alexander, RB
#7 - Ricky Williams, RB
#8 - Randy Moss, WR
#9 - Edgerrin James, RB
#10 - Jamal Lewis, RB
#11 - Fred Taylor, RB
#12 - Marshall Faulk, RB
#13 - Corey Dillon, RB
#14 - Marvin Harrison, WR
#15 - Daunte Culpepper, QB
#16 - Dominick Davis, RB
#17 - Kevan Barlow, RB
#18 -
#19 -
#20 -

NOTE: This is intended for a redraft league.

This ranking system should be interesting, but will also be heavily swayed towards which people are online when the topic begins. Overall I'm sure the rankings will be interesting -- just a little warning to newer fantasy owners that these are just a guide and that they shouldn't be your only source of fantasy rankings! ;-D

I could make one heck of an arguement for both Priest and LT. However, both have me worried somewhat, too.

Priest, while being a TD MONSTER over the last couple seasons really seemed to slow down the end of last year. I don't know if it's an outside sign of him slowing down (the dude can't keep up that pace forever) or just a mini-slump.

LT2 was amazing despite a miserable team around him. What did San Diego do to help him this offseason? Make the team worst with bad decisions -- especially in the draft (IMO). While I'm concerned that LT2 could easily become this year's Ricky Williams (worn down by overusage and defensive stackage), I also think LT2's pure ability will help him be a top back for one more year.

My vote... LT2
