Detroit's population dropped by nearly 40,000 to about 911,000. That was the biggest loss for any city with 100,000 or more people, according to Census Bureau (news - web sites) estimates being released Thursday.

Actually, that study is showing only the city of Detroit, but Im sure the suburbs of Detroit are still growing pretty rapidly.

Bully-Cummings said earlier Thursday that police believe the shooting began with an argument about a woman.

But some homicide detectives said they were considering reports the suspect began shooting because someone in the crowd pushed him down. They also mentioned a possible argument over designer sunglasses.
