i was about to say... this cant be serious. a guy whos never played anyone would never make it in the NBA, i dont care if he 9' 6".

If someone were 9' 6", they would be the tallest verifyable human ever by over 6 inches...I don't think they would be playing basketball; they'd be too busy touring with Guinness to do that stuff.

The tallest man ever was one Robert Wadlow of Alton, Illinois. His final official height was 8 feet, 11.1 inches. The guy only lived to be 22 I think. He had the pituitary gland problem all giants have - something kicks it into high gear (in his case a tumor) and it never stops producing growth hormone. From what I remember from my 1990 Guinness Book, he wore size 37AAA shoes, wore a size 15 ring, and was 6' 2" (as tall as me) when he was nine. I sure as heck don't want to ever be that tall.
