I agree, I prefer Bennett as a #3 back in the 4th round or later.
The potential is there for a bust out season for Bennett, but with Moe snaking goalline TDs it really limits his ceiling.... Bennett is no Fred Taylor.
The main negative I see in Bennett is his chance of injury. His
speed, size, and running style all significantly raise the normal, high risk of being a starting RB in the NFL period.
If Tice is smart he will know that Bennett's carries must ultimately be limited this season if he's going to play 16 games. Everyone realizes that Moe will get the goalline touches, but where does Onterrio Smith fit in the picture?
That is why I think Bennett is one of the riskiest early round picks on the board IMO. I see his carries either being limited or he will get injured get this season.
If I end up drafting Bennett, I do so knowing it will cost me that additional later round pick of Onterrio Smith.
On a related note, a positive aspect of Bennett is actually the drafting of Onterrio, who I think could be huge give the chance as a starter.
