3 Trivia Questions - Help Please :)

Postby TorontoGuy » Sun Jan 26, 2003 4:01 pm

Hey guys,

Any big NFL Football historians in here? I have 3 trivia questions that I've been trying to figure out. If anyone an answer them for me I would really appreciate it! And if you could tell me in your reply if you're 100% sure, or just 'somewhat' sure :)

Again thanks! Good luck on Sunday!! :)

1) With his election to the Pro Football Hall of
Fame on Saturday, Hank Stram becomes only the
second coach to win a Super Bowl and be in both
the Pro Football hall and the AFL Hall of Fame.
Who is the other?
---------------------------------------------------------
2) Only once has the Super Bowl been the last
game ever played in a stadium. Name the Super
Bowl and stadium involved.
----------------------------------------------------------
3) The only team to ever go to four consecutive
Super Bowls, the Bills managed to lose them all.

They also have the distinction of having the only
player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame who never
played a down in the NFL.

Name him

Up front - these are all guesses.
No good to you, I guess, if you're looking for the answers yourself.
But I'll still take a shot. Maybe they'll lead to something.

#1 Al Davis. I believe Al coached the Raiders early, before taking the commissioner's job for the old AFL.

#2 The Orange Bowl?

#3 Wow. A player? Not a coach? In the HOF? That never played a down? How is that possible? THAT I'D like to know.

Torontoguy, why don't you post your trivia questions separately and contribute to the game here? Wouldn't be more work, you would make some people happy and - most important - you would increase your chance of getting good answers! ;-D

I still gotta know this one.
And who the heck is "Billy Shaw"?
Wait ... wait. Was he a trainer? One of those guys that had
been in the locker room for 40 years or something?

OK. OK. I pulled a Homer (Simpson).
Doh.
Never a down in the NFL.
I get it.
Thanks for enlightening the mentally challenged and
occasionally butt stupid.
