What round do you take Vanderjagt?

I personally havent gone after Vanderjagt in any drafts that have been done this year, he has just gone way too early for me to justify taking him. I always wait till i have all my starters and some bench depth before i grab my kicker. No way do i take Vanderjagt in the 8th round like ive seen him taken in a few drafts

The last round was made for kickers - even "studs" like Mike Vanderjagt and Jeff Wilkins aren't excluded.

But look at the cafe auction.

Vandy went for $10 and Wilkins went for $9.
Consider that Michael Bennet, Lee Suggs and Jimmy Smith went for $9. Price, Javon and Charles Rogers went for $8. Bulger and Warrick went for $6. Garcia and Duckett for $5.

I want Vandy on my team but I want these other players on my team before him.

I agree completely Mookie. But the one thing I am scared about is I want one of 4 kickers: Vandy, Wilkins, Akers, or Elam. I am nervous about all the other ones. I think these 4 can be the most consistent, and the dropoff from there is pretty substantial. Dropoff meaning that point ranges may be 40 points. With these 4 this year I think you can be more accurate on forecasting how many points each will produce. While I may not draft Vanderjagt since he will be the first one gone and taken way too early, I would go after one of these other guys before they fall off the board. The other thing to note is I don't recall the last time a kicker was the best kicker and scored the most points in consecutive years.
