Butch Davis says he's ready.
Chaun Thompson says he's ready.
Now, the second-year linebacker hopes the fans
see that he's ready.
"A lot of people questioned the (draft) pick at
the time," Thompson said. "I need to make people

Thompson (6-foot-2, 250) was promoted to the

Texas A & M, a Division II school.
In his rookie season, Thompson tied for fifth in
special team tackles with eleven. In limited
action from the line of scrimmage, he had four
tackles (3 solo, one assist).
"Last year, I played on special teams the whole
season," he said. "I think that will make the
transition easier for me this year."

"When 11 guys come together as a team, it can

Thompson had 358 tackles in college, including
eight sacks. He also had 40 tackles for loss.
Thompson registered over 100 tackles in each of
his final three seasons. West Texas A & M was
0-11 in Thompson's senior year.
Thompson feels he has overcome several obstacles
in his journey to the NFL. Now, he is determined
to make it to the top and not be content to just
be in the league.
"I want to get better and better every game I
play," Thompson said. " I feel that if I do the
same as I did yesterday, I cheated the Browns."
