If these are the Madden 2005 rankings (which you can find online...I saw them in a forum on an xbox fan site), then does anybody else find Corey Dillon's sub-86 rating to be a glaring omission?

Nah...I think given last season mid-80s is fair for Dillon; he was probably only about a 92 or 93 at his peak, although video games usually give star players a one-year grace period before their ratings drop too much.

this is for ESPN 2005 sorry bout that guys... I just don't know what more important a great defence and a decent offence or a good defence and a good offence...

In a video game, I'd say you want a better defense more...the rationale being that a good gamer can manage to score a couple TDs even with a lousy offense, but on defense you're more dependant on the computer to make plays for you, which is more closely tied to the ratings. At least that's how it usually goes in Madden (I've heared that's one thing they're working on for '05, however).
