Defense??

WHen is the right time to draft a defense??

today in a mock draft i took the ravens with my 6th pick.....after.

Tomlinson/Harrison/Holt/Henry/Mcnabb...then i passed on Boo willimas to grab the ravens defense.


DO you wait to before or aftrer you have drafted a TE to draft D?

IMO i draft them before a kicker and i draft my defense last in the draft meaning i dont draft a kicker because they are unreliable so pick one off the FA. I would draft my TE near the 10th round if the top 3 arent there

TE are more valuable than defenses, which I would probably draft around the 10th round. Kickers should go after that because of their inconsistency from year to year.

If Gonzo and company are gone, I would go strongest D. Most TE's are on the second level. If the upper echilon has been depleeted go after the D that is on top of your list. If both are second tier then I go TE.

That's what i did.

I was the first team to draft a D...but with 4 or 5 mid range TE's left i figure id rather have great defense and a shot at that mid range TE than that mid range TE and a shot at a lesser D.
