Strategy question.....

Postby Smizzy » Thu Jul 15, 2004 3:40 pm

I have the 7th pick in the draft......

Lets assume the first 6 pick are

1.Holmes
2.Tomlinson
3.Green
4.Portis
5.McAllister
6.Alexander

That would leave

J.Lewis-legal issues
Edge
Ricky Williams

So my question is...Would my 7th pick be better spent if i took Moss or Harrison in this spot then grabbed a RB on the turn around?

Please rate the top 3 WR in relation to the 7th,8th and 9th RB's ,who has more value?

Nope, take Jamal. Then, on the way back take your Moss or Harrison.

What positions do you start?
Is it a keeper league?
What is your scoring system?

Without knowing these things, I would take Jamal.

See Jamal is someone i would normally just grab....but his arrest worries me....What if i take lewis and the moss and harrison get grabbed?

DO i take the next best WR...which would be Holt or Owens or do i go with another RB,say Ricky or taylor or edge.

WHere do they rate against each other?
Ricky/Taylor/Edge vs Holt/Ward/Owens ???

These are important questions.....if you start 3 WR, I would lean towards Moss. How many teams in your league?

MOCK DRAFT?!?! Then definitely go Jamal. And, if Moss and Harrison go, then take Taylor/Ricky/Edge.

No questions asked???

You would take Fred Taylor over Terrel Owens? or Even Hines Ward?
If you just grabbed Lewis? IS it a question of Value or Position Scarcity? or both?

Just trying to pick a couple different brains here.

With Jamal's charges hanging over his head I would rather have Edge. he finished out the season strong and should have a full comeback season this year. On the way back go for Holt of Harrison.

Most people would probably say....

JLewis
Edge
Ricky
Moss

In a 3 WR league I would argue....

Moss
JLewis
Edge
Ricky

Since the RB position is not very deep, the more teams the more important RB becomes.....in a 10 team league be more willing to jump on that WR, in a 16 team league you better not pass on that RB.
