Rob vs. Brad

Postby Arlo » Sat Feb 01, 2003 9:39 am

Just something I've been wondering about... If the Bucs had gone with Rob Johnson at QB this season instead of Brad (as many thought they would), how far do you think they would have gone? Would this change have made any different at all?

Hmm...

I would say yes...it would have made a big difference...Rob can't run any offence in this league, the guy is sacked every 3 drop backs, hes not mobile(niether is Brad), and because of the sacks he takes and the the fact he is mistake prone....that would have forced the Tampa D to play more time on the field and tire them out....they would not have lasted the season...at best I would say they would have gotton into the wild card game and lost.

i think they might have sneaked into the playoffs, just because of that monster defense, but they never would have won it all. the bucs struggled mightily without brad in there, rob just cant move the ball. looks like they made the right choice!

No way...If that were to happen, then I think we woulda been seeing a bigger QB controversy...possibly even a chant or two for Mr. King!!! ;-)

With that D. I think they might have made the playoffs also. But lost in like the first round.

i feel the same way as most of you guys. that d was good enough to get them into the playoffs, but they would've had an early exit from the playoffs.

I think that they may have gone something like 8-8 or possibly 9-7. I'm not sure if they would've made the playoffs or not, but I don't think that if they did, they would win it all with Robbie running the show.
