I should say, who do you think will emerge as the #1 guy.
I could see it being any one of these. (well not Hearst, but the other 3). Or, Do you think it will be a RBBC for the entire season.
Quentin Griffin
Garrison Hearst
Mike Anderson
Tatum Bell
If there is a #1 guy it would be a huge lift for almost any fantasy team.
Stewie: [hitting on some co-eds] I must say, the most recent campus sporting event was quite spectacular.
Co-ed: Aw. Are you in a fraternity, little boy?
Stewie: Not yet, but I'm thinking of joining I Felta Thigh.
As of right now, the #1 guy is Griffin. He's been doing the best in training camp. Bell's been having trouble holding on to the ball so he's unlikely. Hearst is too old and will at most be used on third downs because he can catch.
Nobody knows, and nobody will know until after kickoff at the first game. Shanny doesn't like to give away anything. Even then, it will probably be a few weeks before a clear starter is established. See Portis in his rookie year. Rode a load of bench time before securing the job.
I think this year will be much like the year Denver had Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary, and Mike Anderson on their roster. With TD's expected return that never lived up to the hype, they used a combination of all 3. Hearst, Q-Tip, and Bell could end up in the same scenario.
Shanahan never uses a RBBC, hes had chances to and never has. He finds a clear starter and goes with him. My money is on Quentin to keep the job and have Tatum Bell learn for a year under Anderson and Hearst.
So far in camp, Bell is performing worse than expected. Anderson is very high in the eyes of the coaching staff so he might slip in. Remember, he was very effective a few years back.
I rank Griffin over Bell anyway. I see people grabbing Tatum in the 6th or 7th, skipping over Griffin whom I nab in the 9th or 10th. Bell is a product of the hype. Just because he is the same height as portis, roughly the same weight, and draft postion does not mean he will be the next portis.
