I've been a commish with the same group of guys for the past 6 years. Right before the beginning of last season one owner moved and dropped out. We had a new owner step in and take his team over. The bad thing was the owner that left had the worst team so the new owner started with zip basically. he loves playing FF, but is not wanting to come back due to the team he has. He made some improvements last season, but still finished 9th out of 10. It is a 3 players keeper league that your keepers cost you a pick in this years draft to where you got them last year minus one. Example if you grabbed Portis in the 6th round last year you get to keep him for a fifth round pick this year. This is what he has to work with.
Dillon (1st round), K-Mart (1st round), Boston (3rd), McNair (4th), Garcia (8th), Duckett (12th), Shipp (15th)
Some talent, but not at what it would cost you in the draft.
What are some suggestions to make him stay around. If it was his own team he ruined then I would say tough, but that is not the case.
1. maybe give him a extra pick in between rd 1 and rd 2 and he only keeps 2 players
2. Let all other owners pick their keepers and then he can pick from what ever is left from all 10 rosters (that should help bring his team back up to speed)
3. Make him keep one from his roster, let all other owners name 2 keepers then he can take his last 2 keepers from any roster before the other 9 owners make there last selection for keeper.
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Also, this is a small money league. Total purse is $300.
