Where ever Eddie goes, he won't be the #1. He said he's looking at Philly, Tampa, and Dallas.

He's bringing his whopping 3.7 yard avg per carry with him! It's great that he wants to move, but he's looking for 4 to 5million a year... no team is going to pay that for him. I think he'll sit out camp as every team in the NFL laughs at his "projected worth".

Personally I think he winds up in Oakland.

I hope he doesn't go to Tampa. He doesn't fit the west coast offense and I have Garner on too many fantasy squads.

That would be my guess, too.

Wow, I guess Steve McNair's value just went up. Good thing I drafted him. ;-D

I think Oakland is the only place he'd have a shot in hell of starting, maybe TB.

I really can't see why Philly keeps being brought up. Look at it this way: They've got:

Westbrook - the clear cut spark-plug of that offense and they're main RB now that Duce is gone.
Buckhalter - The complement to Westbrook. Westbrook is small, speedy, and an outside runner. Bucky is straight ahead, up the gut, and take take a heavier pounding.
Reno Mahe - They took Westbrook off returning duties, and traded Thrash. The only guy to get work returning the ball last year was Mahe, and that's likely his primarily role this year.

So, with those 3 young guys on their squad all ready, are they really going to find room for Eddie George? I'd personally rather see them try and develop that guy McCoo who showed some promise in the NFL Europe, than waste time with a veteran who just doesn't have what he used to. It just seems like an unnecessary pick up.

Ive called it all along - he'll go to Dallas. No way they give their offense over to a rookie.

And I have said it all along...GOD NO!!!! :~( Just let me believe that Jones is the 2nd coming of Emmitt. Oh sorry, I forgot he is a clown who only got the record because his shitty team did not force him to retire instead of allowing him to play for another team and thrill NFL fans including myself.

Apparently Philly is out.

Eagles not interested in George, 7/20
610 WIP AM's Anthony Gargano is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have contacted the agent for Tennessee Titans' RB Eddie George to inform him that they will have no interest in his client should he become a free agent.
