I really can't see why Philly keeps being brought up. Look at it this way: They've got:
Westbrook - the clear cut spark-plug of that offense and they're main RB now that Duce is gone.
Buckhalter - The complement to Westbrook. Westbrook is small, speedy, and an outside runner. Bucky is straight ahead, up the gut, and take take a heavier pounding.
Reno Mahe - They took Westbrook off returning duties, and traded Thrash. The only guy to get work returning the ball last year was Mahe, and that's likely his primarily role this year.
So, with those 3 young guys on their squad all ready, are they really going to find room for Eddie George? I'd personally rather see them try and develop that guy McCoo who showed some promise in the NFL Europe, than waste time with a veteran who just doesn't have what he used to. It just seems like an unnecessary pick up.
