HONOLULU (Jan. 31, 2003) -- Terrell Owens of the San Francisco 49ers and Simeon Rice of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were each fined $4,000 for unexused absences at an NFC team meeting and practice in Honolulu as part of preparations for the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced.
Neither player alerted the NFC coaching staff or the NFL before these mandatory sessions.

Slackers!.....they go to the probowl which is a hornor and then they get fined!....goof of the week?!?...hummmmmm could be!

lol sling... i think mandatory news confernces at the pro bowl are kinda dumb anyway. alot of players skip the probowl all together and dont get in trouble for it ( i guess thats tru more for the mlb and nba allstar games) its the offseason, the players are having fun i dont think u need to force them into doing things they dont want to do. even if i do think they SHOULD go, i dont think it should be mandatory...
