Chris Brown takes over Julious Jones

Postby BigMusky » Tue Jul 20, 2004 12:00 pm

If Eddie George goes to Dallas (or anyone else I guess), would you expect Chris Brown to be on par with the expections of Julious Jones, or not since the Titans are a pass first team compared to Dallas?

Does George going to Dallas end the hype on Jones?

I believe you mean Chris Brown.... Chad Brown would be a linebacker for the seahawks....

its too tough to say right now.

The Titans very well could bring in a veteran RB such as J. Stewart or A. Smith to take some carries away from Brown. And if Eddie ends up going to DAL that will take some carries away from JJ.

JJ has shown us nothing in the NFL, and C. Brown has shown really little, making neither of them sure things

Right now I think C. Browns value will be the highest b/c he's fresh meat w/ no real backup and people havent had time to really 'think' about where he should be.

As soon as training camp starts and George finds a home things will be much clearer

if george goes to dallas then yes you have to start worrying about jj. i can't see it happening though. now if george goes somewhere else, i still think you take jj over c.brown for the reason you mentioned and because i think j.jones has the talent to be a featured back and i'm not sold on brown (haven't seen much of him is more what i mean). titans are now a pass first team, they were before george asked to leave and it will be even more so with george gone. i think that the titans still have enough options in the red zone that you won't see brown get a ton of scores and i don't think the titans are convinced he can be the man.

You can't say much for either player. They have both shown nothing in the NFL thus far.

How much is Brown's value shot up now that Eddie is gone?

He is still a fringe #3 RB. He should be the #4 guy you have if you start 2 backs, but I can see him slipping in as your #3 back. The titans may still bring in a veteran guy, so who knows yet.

If Goerge is really gone then at least he is a starting RB with little or no competition on the roster at this point. It seems as though he is safe to have a job. Sometimes thats saying alot. As for expecting big things from him I wouldn't, but it could happen
