Well, I popped the disc in and checked out a few things. Some of the depth charts and ratings are a little messed up - Jerome Bettis is starting over Duce Staley (and rated higher), Ben Roethlisberger is starting over Tommy Maddox, Koren Robinson is rated an 89 whereas D-Jax is rated an 87, Donte Stallworth is rated at 87...
The rosters seemed pretty up to date. I only had to make a few changes - most of which occurred over only the last week or two.
I'll check things out more and I'll give a more thorough list of my problems with the ratings...
Also, when I was done messing with the rosters, I got a "phone call" from Steve-O; he wanted to challenge me to a game of football. That was weird and unexpected (also unwanted - if they're going to have people making challenges, I'd rather get a phone call from Terrell Davis, Deion Sanders, Steve Young, Terrell Owens, ect. - I like Jackass and Wild Boyz, but I don't want to play football with Steve-O)...
'CUNA-MANIA IS RUNNING WILD! "You will be a king here, instead of a peasant at the Cafe."
I picked up a copy last night. I didn't get a chance to play much, but it felt very strange, as I'm used to Madden. It does have great graphics and it was enjoyable, but I think it will take some getting used to. I'll check back when I get a chance to play it some more.
I hate the way the special moves work for running. Sometimes tapping the A (X for PS2) button will make you sprint and sometimes it will just keep filling the energy bar thing just a little and then going back down. I don't like that little energy meter thing, nor the fact that you can't hurdle in this version.
