what do you think of it so far Jay? I'm starting to dig it....There is a lot to learn though, if you're new to the ESPN game. I'm still trying to get used to passing, and am trying to break my habbit of hitting the wrong button to change players on defense.
im starting to come around to it. i am still stuck on madden as far as the buttons go, and like you, keep hitting the wrong ones.
i dont want to compare it to madden right now, since i still am not used to playing this one. in all, i like the feel of the game, and having boomer show your highlights is a plus.
I have ruthlessly bashed this game but after playing a friends copy they fixed some problems of 2004. No more consistent kick return TD's and when you hit players they actually fall down instead of dragging you for five yards. I found you need to blitz a lot to slow other players and it is hard to burn someone when they send both safeties etc...
I am keen to check the dynasty mode. The crib annoys me, but I guess I could avoid it. I have a $12 credit so I guess I might splurge $8 to own it
Nothing personal to anyone, but man i hate this game. Franchise blows. It so out of control. Checking out sportcenter i notice a trade announcement. New Orleans has trade duece Mcallister to the bears for Rubien Brown. Man, that got me so pissed. I can understand if i was to rip off a team, but a cpu doing it to another cpu. That just crazy. I don't even play as the vikings in my franchise, but i gotta give them props. They sure are going for team management of the year, so far they have ripped off the dolphins for sam madison and also got R. Gallery from the raiders for absolutely nothing.

Same here. I didn't like the game. Too much little stuff added to it. Plus, the Cribs made me feel like I was playing an NFL expansion pack of the Sims.
I bought the game today, and for the price tag of 19.99, its a must-buy to any football video game fan. I was really impressed with the graphics, and although the gameplay wasnt up to par with madden, it was far from terrible. I would recommend picking this one up for 20$. You can always pick up Madden later if you really hate it
Ya I'm with Shatner, this game could of gone way more for the graphics, but based on gameplay I would buy it for about 30 dollars. It is so hard to be a CB and stuff, but I love the graphics and yes it is a must have for 20 dollars.

It's only $15.00 at Circuit City up until tomorrow.
