My FIRST sig, and a few questions....

First i must apologize to Ibeckhami, he made me a sweet sig, just a few days ago. But quite honestly i got really bored last night and decided to give it a try myself.

This is what i came up with. I like it. atleast for a first try. damn thing took me a few hours.




The problem is that i don't know how to get it small enough to put as a sig. Right now it is still 2x the allowed size. I have tried to save it as the lowest JPG possible on Adobe Photoshop. but still to large.

Also it doesn't look as sharp as it does in my photoshop. Is that due to saving at such a low level?? Is there a way around this???


ANy help and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Probably the most common question among people that make these things for the Cafe.

Are you taking advantage of the "Save for Web" feature in Photoshop? It will optimize your image to whatever size you need. Move the quality bar around to get it under 10240 bytes. You can play with other things also, but I don't really know any other "tricks."

As Cupertino stated the other day, you may want to brighten the image up a little more than normal and do an extra sharpen before you try to save for web. It apparently comes out better that way.

If you're already doing those things, then you'll probably have to make your image smaller (like 300 x 80).

you could just make it a little smaller - thats what i did to mine so the quality wouldnt be totally screwed up.

But then again i use paintshop pro... dont know much about photoshop
