The final chapter in the Mike Vanderjagt-Peyton Manning-Tony Dungy saga appears to have been written. The Indy Star reports that Vandy and Manning had a four-part phone conversation on Tuesday during which both players apologized. "Mike and I have settled this and we both want to move on. We both know we screwed up. The minute we got on the phone, we had nothing bad to say about the other. We realized the last week-and-a-half of both our lives has sucked." Manning went on to say that “…absolutely I want him as a teammate. Mike wants to be here and I want him to be here. Mike is a very important part of the team."

The last line of the article from NFL.COM:

Vandy sure makes it seem like the city of Indianapolis, and the citizens are to blame, and we can't get along with him??
