Steal of the Century: Joe Montana (3rd Round)

Terrell Davis would be a close 2nd (6th Round) but to grab one of (if not THE) greatest QBs in the history of the NFL in the 3rd round is unbelievable.

Ki-Jana Carter and Enis. What is it with Penn St running backs? I remember on draft day several years back, John Madden said Enis will be one of the all-time greats. Good call.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Priest was even drafted. I think this makes him the most undervalued, although it took him several years to reach his potential. TD was a beast, but he didn't slip to the 6th round because of lack of talent, but because of a history of injuries. The injuries did eventually catch up to him, but he was definitley worth the risk with the superbowls and MVPs.
Vengeance is mine.

Tom Brady in the 6th round was great. I know hes not a super fantasy stud but to pick up a QB who lead you to 2 superbowls (and coutning) in the 6th round has got to be a steal.

As a charger fan, that Ryan Leaf thing was gay.

EDIT: changing my facts.

OVERVALUED, How about the following:
Dan McGuire by the Seahawks, I believe 16th overall
Andre Ware by Detroit like in the top 10
Todd Marinovich by my beloved Raiders at #24
BUNGELS David Klingler
Washington's Heath Schuler in the top 5
Drunkenmiller by SF in the 1st

yea, heath was the third overall pick, and one of the worst picks ever, but i thought we were talking about running backs here? oh well.... RICKY BELL, 1st overall pick in 77' is the worst pick ever.. Bucs take him number one over dorsett. Yes, his number is now retired, but it is mostly because he died at 29...
career stats
64 games, 3,063 yards, 3.7 YPC, 16 TD and 15 fumbles

sounds like a GREAT number one pick to me :-t :-t

Just wondering, how did he die? Was it drug use or something like an auto accident?

Don't forget Akili Smith.

And Ahman was taken with the 15th pick in the 3rd round - but that's nothing compared to TD and Tom Brady in the 6th.

Basically all of Cincinatti's Bungles-era top picks ended up sucking...
