They aren't going to keep them both, and manning doens't need Edge around. so it isn't a secret who gets to stay. But the colts look damn good. And have a reasonable shot this year. I would agree that they are going to go for it.

On the contrary my friend... Peyton Struggled heavily without edge and a Running game he needs it to be successful, not to mention edge is the big checkdown man that keeps him frmo throwing picks... The year edge went down with an injury peyton threw 23 ints to 26 tds... Someone like culpepper can get away with that fantasywise becasue of his running but not manning...

ya a big part of the colts offense is playfakes. that wont work if the defense doesnt respect the running back.

Won't Indy designate him a franchise player so they can at least get some compensation?

How much compensation do you have to give for a franchise player (I think it's 2 firsts but not sure)

Well then I'll be crossing my fingers that Harrison doesn't get a contract done before the Colts have to designate their franchise player.

But wait, I think there's another designation they can use that would require a 1st and 3rd. What designation is that, anyone know?

Oh my, if we end up with Edge, I would be ecstatic. Obviously from my sig, it should be pretty obvious I love the Canes and I get real giddy when there is a chance one of them will play for the Phins.

Edge wants a ring first... so to answer your query: Not this year.

12 team, H2H, hyper-performance, keeper (5)

Start 9: QB, 1/2RB, 2/3/4WR, 1/2TE, K, D/ST

Keepers: Deuce, Rudi, CJ, Shockey,

I actually believe that Edge would rather be in Miami this year than Indy, even though Indy is probably the better team

I believe that may be the case as well... check out Fanball's opinion though...

The other tag they can use is list him as a "transitional player" im not sure what exactly is the difference but im sure KG knows this one...

Here's the rules. The other designation that you speak of is called a transition player and accoding to that site, there is no compensation for losing a transition player.
