what's your stats?

Postby awwchrist » Thu Feb 06, 2003 1:57 pm

I'm not looking for a pissing match here, but I'm just curious to what everyone's running for computer and internet access? If you even know for that matter. Hell if you would have asked me 5 years ago I wouldn't have had a clue, it's only been recently I started working on my own rig.

AMD 1.54Ghz
512ram
60gb HD
geforce4 ti 4200 128mb video card (computer games)

I'm on ATT cable internet. Nice n dependable but kinda annoying with all the rate hikes.

I'm 5'7" weigh 160 lbs (pretty solid 160) oh wait... just kidding aww. I usually post at work, and I have no idea what kinda power this thing has. Also I don't know squat about computers so I wouldn't know where to start... :-o

hehe, ok..

Intel P4 1.9
512 ram
60 gig HD
Vid card Geforce3 Ti500 (also for gaming)
Cable modem

Cant speak too highly about the graphic card, they cost a LOT of money and the performance difference between the one I have and one that costs 200 bucks less is negligable.

Cable modem rocks my little world :-) I wouldnt go back to dial up if they paid me !

Having had AMD and Intel processors, I highly recommend BOTH. I just happen to get a deal on my Intel this time around so figured why not.

HD at 60 gigs is great for all my needs and should be about as much as i'll ever need......though i recall thinking that when I had a 16mb hard drive LOL

Ram at 512 mb is great, noticable difference in performance over 250, but between 250 and 128 there isnt as big a difference. In short, go 512 if you can.

Worth mentioning the OS (operating system), I use Win XP and its great compared to its predecessors.
