I used this same site at TSN to run a post-season football league during the play-offs. It was a "just for fun", 2nd season sort-of thing for my fantasy league owners.

The mistake I made was saying "yes" to the question:
"Can we purchase more trades?".

It never occurred to me that anyone would spend real,
actual $ to win a "just for fun" thing.
But they did, and, of course, won.
Looks like you get 30 trades in this thing.
Which sounds like a lot - but the baseball season is long.

Maybe you should make some ruling, up front, on the purchasing of additional trades.

I don't know how much control you have as commissioner.
I know I had little, or none.
I don't know if you can turn addt'l trades "on" or "off".
But I think everyone should know going in.
If allowed, it's a good chance that the owner willing to spend the most $ will win.
I'd suggest NOT allowing the purchase of addt'l trades.
If "no additional trades", I don't know what else to do but put everyone on the Honor System.

BTW: Spring training opened TODAY! Unbelievable.

The Weasel makes a good point,I have dealt with TSN's games for a couple of years now & this is the reason I didn't start the NFL playoff one they had this year as I had intended to for some friends.To compete for any real prizes you hafta have trades & that's not always fair when others can't purchase them regularly like some can.You need to make a "no trade rule" or arrange for everyone to get the same ammount of trade for this league to be fair & fun for all.Lay down the law slow!

I have to agree. It is just for fun and something to do until the next season to start!! Like I stated before it'll be for anyone to play, whether you want to track ur team on a weekly basis, or take a few wild guesses and let em ride!! Everyone should have an equal amount of trades!! So let the 30 trade rule stand!! No more!!! I think we have a pretty solid group of guys around here, so I see no reason not to use the honor system!! I trust ya, and well...if ur really that competitive to spend ur hard earned money on this...I can't really stop ya....But just keep in mind that its for fun and "Football Withdrawl"!!! So everyone have fun and lets get the show on da road!!!

What's up with the baseball league?
Looks like we've been hung at 7 owners for quite a while now.
It's not my league, and probably not even my place to say (don't want to step on any toes), but, personally, I'd sure would like to get it to 12 or so. At least.
It'll be taters and the high heat before long.
