Coles or Heap??

Postby A C » Thu Feb 06, 2003 9:30 pm

Who would you rather have in a "must start TE" , TD only league.
Laverneus Coles or Todd Heap?

Coles may score more total TDs, but with the pool being shallower at the TE position, albeit getting bigger, is Heap more valuable.
Im trying to decide between these two for my final keeper slot

I too would say Heap. You have a better chance at getting a good WR back on your roster than you do a good TE like Heap.

just curious...but there seems to be only one choice for a keeper TE and thats Heap....this is primarliy based upon the first question listed....seeing how Coles is a WR and not a TE....therefore I would say keep Heap as a TE, if that is indeed what you are looking for...and as the astute canine and hayseed mentioned above, Heap is quite a commodity in a shallow pool of contenders...thank you...

being that this is a must start tight end league, i assume that other top tightends like- shockey, franks, gonzo etc... will be kept as well. that will limit your choices should you keep coles.

so with this said, keep heap

like GP said, you should be able to get top recievers in the draft

Sorry for not being more clear.
In my league we only keep 5 players every year.
Im trying to decide between Coles or Heap for that 5th spot.
Im keeping : Garcia, LT, Portis, and T Owens for sure. (pretty good huh?? :-)
Being that we are a must start TE, im leaning heavily towards Heap, as getting a WR will be easier in the draft. My only concern is that Ill be tossing the next Steve Largent away, as IMHO, it looks like Coles is going to be a good one, with Pennington tossing the ball around 40 times a game next seaon

Ok, I'll be different, I say keep Coles. They {Pennington and Coles} showed much love for each other as they continued to play together. They seem to have good chemistry. I say keep Coles!!!!!
