Opinions needed.

Ok, I'll admit it, I am not what you would call a "gamer." But I have caught Madden fever, and I saw that a few places are selling Gamecubes for $100, so I am looking hard at buying one.

How do Gamecubes compare to the other gaming consoles out there today?

Generally they are seen as the third option, behind PS2 and XBox.

I have one and it is pretty damn good, the only real problem with it is that it doesn't get a lot of the good games the other consoles get.

it dosent get some of the games and is generally merketed to the younger population wihth games like mario and zelda ( nothing against those games). i personally dont like the controller but im shure that it is easy enough to get used to, it is teh 3rd option usually but it is cheaper

Also gamecube doesn't offer much online (if anything). The safe route is PS2...the adventurous route is Xbox

If all you want it for is playing Madden, then I'd get it because it's the cheapest. If you are looking to play Madden or other games online against other people, PS2 and XBOX are the better options. They also have more games.

I have XBOX and think it's the best because they get almost every game (the good ones at least) that PS2 has PLUS kickass games like Halo and Halo 2.
