FOX Sports' James Brown has learned that Kellen
Winslow, Jr., the sixth overall pick in the 2004
NFL Draft, expects to sign with the Cleveland
Browns today or tomorrow.
According to Brown, who reported the move on his
show on Sporting News Radio, the rookie tight end
from Miami expects to be in training camp no
later than Thursday.
Winslow's agent, Kevin Poston, was to meet
Tuesday night with Browns president John Collins,
team spokeswoman Julia Payne said. She did not
know if Winslow was already in Cleveland or still

In his first proposal to the Browns, Poston, who
also represents Rogers, sought a signing bonus of
roughly $15 million for Winslow, said a league
source, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Rogers, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2003 draft,
received $14.4 million in guaranteed money from
the Lions a year ago.
Last Wednesday new Browns quarterback Jeff Garcia
said it was time Winslow reported for training
"It's important to get him here," Garcia said.
"It's one of those things where you need to think
about the team. You are going to get your riches
no matter what, but you need to think about the
Following Wednesday's morning practice, Garcia
said he planned to call Winslow and urge him to
join his teammates.
"Think about what you have to experience in terms
of creating a team atmosphere and a team bond,"
said Garcia, in his first season with Cleveland.
