Best Fantasy Season Ever

Postby Vandelay-Ind » Thu Aug 12, 2004 11:24 am

Just wondering, what player (and year) had the best fantasy season ever for a player ?

I'll throw some out there- Emmitt in his prime? Barry in his prime? Priest 2 years ago? Marshall about 5 years ago? or Who?

I would say Marshall's best season, I believe it was 2000. But don't quote me on that.

Yea Faulks 2000 season was huge

Barry Sanders was great but if they wouldnt have brought in Tommy Vardell for all those goaline td's he could have really racked up fantasy points.

TD..the year he ran for over 2k had a pretty nice fantasy season

Faulk in 2001 outscored #2 Priest by 64 points.
Smith in 1995 outscored #2 C-Mart by 100 points.
Payton in 1977 outscored #2 Lydell Mitchell by 88 points.

Those are some of the nicer point spreads.

In 1998, Kordell Stewart had a huge fantasy year. He was listed in most software (we used the Terry Bradshaw FF program) as a wide receiver, but played QB, so all his totals were calculated by WR throws TD pass, WR rushing touchdown, and WR rushing values. I had him that year and remember quite a few 60 point days.
