Young QB's

Sorry if this has been asked before - Couldnt track it down in the search engine.

In a 12 team league with standard scoring, I'm looking to grab my first QB somewhere in the 5th or 6th (McNair - Brady) give or take unless something really falls in my lap.

What young QB's are people taking a look at as backups with high potential?

Several second year guys out there that could bust out I suppose....Leftwich, Harrington, Carr, Palmer

Anyone have thoughts on these four?

I would be fine with Leftwich or Harrington as my backups in 10 team leagues. Palmer and Carr are a little more risky. Leftwich would be my pick of choice as I am not a big Joey fan.

Agreed. Leftwich is the best young backup IMO, then Carr. I dont even want to touch Harrington and Palmer.

I also like Jeff Garcia alot this year, but he isnt as young as these guys so he may not be what you have in mind.

I would say Carr and then Leftwich. I think Carr is on the verge of breaking through in this, his third year. I believe that Leftwich needs a little more seasoning that he'll get this year.

Exactly, both of these guys have a lot of potential but I could see the Jaguars having sucess this season and Leftwich is a solid backup with a lot of potential. Carr didnt improve much from 02 to 03, but I think this year he should provide a serviceable backup.
