He is solid pick in deep leagues, but his stats have persistently been below average. Why do you expect him to perform well? Certainly Pennington can't be the sole reason.

The way you phrase it, it sounds like no one can convince you otherwise, so I won't try. If you want to take Becht in the later rounds, that's fine, but there is a good chance you can nab him off the WW, and he isn't a bad TE.

He's never done anything to impress and no reason to suspect he will this year either.
He does have soft opponents defensively in the first two games in the Bengals and Chargers so he may appear to be off to a good start after those two games but he will fade back to mediocrity starting in week 3.

I agree that he'll be a mediocre week 3 option being that it's the Jets bye week and all.

Okay smarty, lets make that starting week 4 then, although my point was that after week 2, the rest of the season his numbers will be nothing special (although technically speaking, he's not gonna help anyone's team in week 3 either, lol).

Baker and Ricks are ther other TEs in NY also...they are really hyped on Bakers talent...i see becht maybe getting 200yds and 2 TDs this season.
