Second round take Harrison or Henry/D Davis/Barlow?

Postby PSU All Day » Mon Aug 16, 2004 7:21 am

I am in a Mock draft and took Portis at 1.06 and had the decision of taking Harrison or T Henry/D davis/Barlow at 2.05. I went with Harrison hoping Henry might fall to me but he didn't.

I ended up with Bennet at 3.06. The WR's avail at that spot were Mason/S. Smith.

We play a flex no TE required. Wondering your thoughts as to whether Portis/Harrison/Bennet is stronger than Portis/Henry D Davis or Barlow/Mason?

Ended up taking Westbrook at 4.05 so am happy with my team:

Through 7 rounds:
Portis
Harrison
Bennet
Westbrook
A Johnson
T Green
T Minor

I think you made the right decision, and your team looks good as a consequence.

I concur, your team does look pretty good as of now...while Henry or Barlow would have been a very nice no.2 rb, I do not think that Mason would make up for the lost talent you would have passed up on by not taking Harrison, and Bennett could do very well this year since he appears to be at full health (a very solid no.2 in a league as big as yours)

The gamble almost paid off 100% as Henry was taken just two picks ahead of me in round 3.

I think you made the right move, especially if your league scoring counts receptions.

I think you made the right move. More often I'm taking Moss, Harrison or Holt if they are there in Rd 2 and taking my chances with backs that fall to me in the 3rd.

Which lineup do you prefer?

#1
RB2- Barlow
WR1-Moulds
Flex- Bennett

#2
RB2- Bennett
WR1- Harrison
Flex- Westbrook

Personally, I prefer lineup #1. Then again I am a strong supporter of the RB-heavy approach, especially in a flex league.

I agree...I like lineup one better and think Moulds will suprise many this year
That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!
