Lions: Jones ready to practice

News
Lions' rookie running back Kevin Jones missed the team's first preseason game because of a strained left hamstring, but he's hoping to be ready for Saturday's game against the Browns. Head coach Steve Mariucci told the Detroit News that Jones should begin practicing Monday.

This is very promising news. Jones has as good an opportunity as any to make a run at fantasy Rookie of the Year honors, but we were beginning to worry that his hamstring injury would delay his impact.

well i certainly was one of his groupies, but I didnt get him in any of my drafts.

I hope he busts now :-b

I do think this injury sets him back a bit though. He still will take the starting job, but the more time he misses, the better Pinner will start to look to the coaching staff.
