Trading Picks DURRING the Draft?

there is no written rule in my league for or against it... im talking to a guy (the comish) who wants to trade up from 12/13 to 10/15 in the 1st/2nd round if his guy is still there @ 10... i dont know about all this mid draft trading... and he's starting to see my point.. i was wondering what the guys that have been drafting for 7+ years think... anyone feel free to comment tho... THANX!

i think it gets kinda frustrating when ur trading picks in the middle of the draft but it all depends on what ur league members will tolerate

Sounds like your commish is trying to work his system a little.If it's not a $ league then I wouldn't worry about it...

Personally I like the trading of draft picks. It makes it a little closer to the real thing. I don't think it's a cheat or an exploit. It's just like trading players, make sure you do what's best for your team.

Bottom Line:He's the commish and it's all about how decides to take the situation.If there's enough people against it then hopefully he won't jeopardize the integrity of the league.If it's just you opposing the trade then you may just have to take it like a man...then beat him at his own game.

Since this is a money league, I have one piece of advice:

Charge a $ fee per transaction. You'd be amazed how much this simple addition can improve a league. Decisions regarding trades of any kind, and even waiver wire pickups are scrutinized much more closely by the teams involved. Most owners will let all but the truly unjust trades and player movements fly when there is additional money being added to the pot.
