The Green Bay Packers are shopping underachieving wide receiver Terry Glenn, according to a report on ESPN.com. Additionally, the Packers have given Glenn’s agent permission to discuss trade possibilities with other teams. It is believed that Glenn is due a $500,000 roster bonus on March 1. He is currently under contract until 2006.
Glenn’s reputation as a malcontent didn’t surface in Green Bay, but neither did his production. He caught just 56 balls for 817 yards and two touchdowns. With Donald Driver stepping up last year, the team appears ready to use Driver as its number one, with Javon Walker or Robert Ferguson as the number two. Let the bidding begin with a 23rd-round draft pick in 2035.
Doubt any of us are going to be surprised by this move. Be interesting to see where he ends up.
