First time playing FF...need help...questions...

First question, when should I draft my first QB, what round?

Second question, where can I find rankings so I can base my draft off that.

Any tips would be helpful.

dajet, after the top tier QBs (Manning, C-Pepp, McNabb, Vick), the other QBs are a crapshoot. I would usually wait to get a QB.

In my most recent draft, I went RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, then QB. Got Pennington in the 6th, then took another RB.

My strategy is best available, but I probably won't take a QB until I fill my starting RB and WR spots. I always go RB first, but it depends where I am drafting for the next pick. I could go RB-RB or I could go RB-Elite WR (Moss, Holt, Harrison, TO), then pickup an RB in the 3rd.

If I drafted 1st through 4th, i would probably take RB-WR. If I drafted late in the first round, I'd go RB-RB because when it gets back, there won't be much RBs to choose from if you take a WR (unless you want to gamble on a back).

Heck, I got Gannon in the 14th round in one draft and several good QBs didn't get drafted. I always wait on QBs.
