how will this guy do in the NFL season? Will he take over Barber? Is he worth picking up as a 3rd RB?

I think Rob Dayne has too much competition to start on the Giants. He'd have to beat out Tiki Barber and RON Dayne before I'd consider him! ;-D

I think Tiki Barber will "rob" Dayne of most of his value. Dayne will annoy Barber owners by stealing some close TD's, but will only average 3 YPC or less. Barber will still get most of the yards and fumbles.

I wouldn't consider Dayne as anything more than a fourth RB option. He had one good preseason game -- and that won't be enough on its own to beat out Barber. Expect more of a RBBC if Dayne can keep his head above water. That's a big "if" considering his track record.

Brandon Lloyd? Definitely. Ferguson I am not so sure. Favre spreads the ball around too much and Ferguson is probably the 5th recieving option behind Walker, Driver, Green, and Franks.

Not necessarily. It's all dependent on your roster to that point. Personally, I don't have too high of expectations for either Ferguson or Lloyd. I value a potential RB moreso than extra WRs. However, I do feel there are much better options than Dayne at RB. Players like Quentin Griffin (will win the Denver starting job), Charlie Garner (a major fan of Gruden and who will be the main option until at least Pittman comes back) and Tyrone Wheatley (who's in the lead of the Oakland RB situation currently) are all more valuable to me right now than Dayne. If Dayne can show over several games that he can contribute, then I'll change my tune.

QTip and Garner are easily gone 3-4 rounds before Ron Dayne. They will be better too.

I agree. Dayne is someone I'd snag at the end of my draft. My point is that there are other guys I'll take before him -- and when most people are drafting Dayne near the final rounds, I'll be snagging my starting kicker, TE and probably defense.

I agree, but if I can get him in the 16th round, why not give it a shot?
