Bennett, Chris Brown or Griffin

Postby coach84 » Tue Aug 17, 2004 9:40 am

Bennett will start, but how much will Onterrio play? Moe Williams could be stealing the short TD's again.

Chris Brown will start, but is unproven. Antowain Smith should not be a huge factor.

Griffin could have a huge year if he holds on to that job. Will Bell have a chance at starting?

Who will have the best year out of these 3?

I think Bennett and Griffin will be very close this year, but Griffin can be had 2-3 rounds later then Bennett. I like Bennett, but very close. In terms of value I like Q Tip.

Wheres he going? He went with the 4.5 pick in the 1st and Short Keeper League, where we all know our stuff. That was a round and some picks after Bennett. I doubt you can get either as your 3rd RB unless you go like RB WR RB RB.

That's funny, I have all three of those backs, which can be scary. I picked 11th, so my backs are kinda weak, Benett, Barber, Griff, and Brown.

RB rankings

Postby kvnhbbrd » Tue Aug 17, 2004 10:48 am

I would rank them in this way:

Bennett
Griffin
Brown

The reason for this is that Bennett will get the start, Griffin looked good in his first pre season, and Brown is just not really set in the system yet.
Good luck and high scores

I drafted before the preseason and I grabbed Q-tip in thr 8th or 9th when everyone was still riding the tatum bell bandwagon, so I'm sitting and looking smart right about now.

I'd rank them like this:

Brown (All signs are looking good...i dont see smith taking away many carries, he was picked up primarily as insurance. this offense, with mason celico and mcnair will open up the running game, titans oline is underrated, and brown should be a productive back. good #2)

Bennett (To much talent in this backfield, im glad i stould away from this mess in my draft. Bennett has shown he can be an everydown back when healthy...his raw speed, make him a threat to take it all the way every touch....but has been prone to injury (lack of size maybe?) Ontario Smith is definitely this teams future, he has it all...good size, breakaway speed, quick scatback esque feet, and as good between the tackles as he is outside. I see him becomming a bigger and bigger part of this offense as the season progresses, bennet has a tendency to wear down. Then there's moe "all he do is score touchdown" williams who could probably start on half of the nfl teams (and he's 3rd on there depth chart) ... i see him taking redzone touches from bennett. But bennett is proven, does have the #1 job, and has shown the ability to put up big #'s consistently, all the RBBC talk is only speculation and our best guess, mike tice has gone to bennett enough when he's healthy to make him a good #2 RB in any league format.

Q. Griffin (it seems he's looking more and more like barry sanders by the hour..his value is skyrocketing faster then ron jeremy manhood on viagra..., but you have to wonder why shanahan drafted tatum bell so early..that compounded by the signing of garrison hearst...makes you wonder about his confidence in griffin.....unless griffin did something in the last 2 months to completely change shanahan's mind about him, then there has to be some cause for concern...tatum bell is his prototypical back(size/speed/running style) just makes things more shaded then the above 2 options... with that being said, griffin ranks 3rd on my list..

Brown
Bennett
Griffin

-------------------------

Brown will be THE WORKHORSE in Tennessee.
He will definately get the bulk of the carries, this
usually translates into FF points, especially on a
solid team like Tenn.

Bennett, O. Smith, and Moe will be sharing in Minn,
and Hearst will definately get a lot of touches in Denver.

Go with Chris Brown.
