The Redskins saved $5.2 million against their 2003 cap by cutting running back Stephen Davis on Wednesday.

Our View
It wasn’t just about the money. In addition to the tremendous cap savings, many feel that Steve Spurrier’s pass-first offense isn’t a good mesh with Davis’ workhorse running style. The Patriots are already reported to be interested in acquiring Davis, and more teams will undoubtedly come forward. If Washington doesn’t acquire another starter, Kenny Watson and last year’s second-round pick, Ladell Betts, will challenge one another for the starting job. Our money is on Betts.

No surprises here .

Who cant stand Spurrier *Raises hand* :-)

I believe the Pats will do all in their power to get him...which is not good for fantasy stats...with smith being on the team already and faulk, redmond some peeps will have to go esp smith to make davis worth any kind of early pick

Hope he goes to Dallas...(even though I'm still pulling for my

homeboy Emmitt).... or Carolina. I think he could rack up

some stats with either one of those teams!!

My money is on the Bucs. That's where I think he'll end up. Though Dallas would be a close second.
