'Mister Rogers' Dies at 74

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Fred Rogers, who gently invited millions of children to be his neighbor as host of the public television show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" for more than 30 years, died of cancer early Thursday. He was 74.

Well.
The end of an era.
And a man that understood childhood.
Kids are now left with 84 cable channels, and Yu-Gi-Oh.

They NEED a train.
And a man in a sweater.
They just don't know it.

This is very sad, my 3.5 yr old daughter watches him almost everyday. he was a truly decent man. Some people come across as decent and it turns out they arent, if everyone in the world had been like good old Mr Rogers, how peaceful and safe would the world be today?

Those sweaters were all hand made by his mother,

I wish he had been my neighbour.

that man was great for childrens TV and i grew up with him. he truely will be missed
