answer teh dude's question

Postby migarvin » Fri Aug 20, 2004 2:05 pm

nobody addressed your question. I think david terrel will finally put it together. HE'sin his 4th year when gage was stillplaying bball.

Kelly washington will eventually start. He's got talent but a rookie qb so watch out.

I think freddie mitchell will play well and start along with owens. If teems overcompensate to shutdown owens mitchell will catch some balls

id go with freddie mitchell and david terrel. Minor won't play much

That OK - we know you are just padding your post counts. }:-)

Just messin of course - welcome to the Cafe ;-D

I think the sleeper of the yr will be some obscure WR that isnt getting any mention - like one of the SD WRs: Dyson or Osgood.
Maybe even a SanFran WR like Lloyd.

Other than that - Im sure one of the elite RBs will go down and his backup will tear it up. I dont mean to jinx anyone but the sleeper of the yr will be a Davenport or Rhodes type who steps into a great situation - something nearly impossible to predict.

Here's hoping Ahman will be just fine, but Davenport can probably be had for a buck, and could really tear it up if Ahman goes down. Davenport and Tony Fischer both averaged over 5 yds. per carry last year, and Davenport saw some goal-line duty late in the season. Could be used to "spell" Ahman more in 2004.
Other than that, Wheatley, Evans or Gage.

Lee Evans
Darius Watts
Travis Minor (will put up 1000 yards, 5 TD's)

Definantly Watts should be the #2 by week 2 or 3

Kelley Washington should be the #2 WR in Cincinnati before the end of the year. Kid's got skills... definitely worth $1.

Mushin Muhammed for $1 is also a bargain you might wanna look into.

Kelly Washington?
Justin Gage?
Justin Fargas?
Travis Minor?
Chris Perry?
Freddie Mitchell?

Other ideas?

You'll get immediate return on your $1 from Travis Minor since he'll actually be playing in game one. Who knows, he might even have a few good games.

If all of them were the unquestioned #1 on their team... I'd say Perry then Fargas. Those are your two best long term investements for the $1.

What about Kevin Johnson or Deion Branch? They are better off from game 1 than the WRs you mentioned and I'm sure you can get them for $1. Buckhalter and Dunn are probably good $1 values too.

Last I heard, Terrel has looked good at camp and is still listed as the starter (#2).
I meant if he continues his trend of not being good in the regular season. He just hasn't been good. But he is having a good camp and will probably be #2. Lee Evans is a good choice, forgot about him for a second.

Darrius Watts....reports out of Denver have him having a great chance of being the #2 over Lelie.
